Hydrangea Wreath

Know what I love more than making beautiful things?
Making beautiful things for other people.

My inspiration came from my friend, Dara, of Teach. Craft. Love. who makes beautiful wreaths like these:

Aren't those awesome?! I couldn't help but copy her idea!

Since I've been on spring break this past week, I've actually been able to make a couple wreaths (I'll post one more later this week), do a little sewing, and visit friends and family. I just love being a teacher!
I made the Hydrangea Wreath for my Granny.
I didn't do a tutorial on this one because it's crazy easy. You can do this with any kind of florals. Always wait to buy them when they are 50 % off though.

I simply took off the long stems on the hydrangeas and wired the blooms onto the grapevine wreath. To get all the little sprigs, I take a big sprig apart (as you can see in the picture below) and glue them all around.

I placed them all around the wreath and hot glued them down inside the branches. I held the sprigs down against the branches with one of the hydrangea stems I'd removed. Then I hot glued the letter on.

The colors are so sweet. I'm kinda lovin that peachy color for spring!

I absolutely love this! I saw you featured on Sunday Showcase, and the wreath really caught my eye. It's so simple, but just gorgeous! And I agree, the nicest things to make are the ones you give away. Thanks for sharing your beautiful project!

Often using his own cats, Rags and Fluff, as well as the pets (dogs, pigs, rabbits & birds) of his friends and neighbours, he spent many painstaking hours setting up and photographing the scenes. can-c
