Ooh! Don't You Look Just Like Spring?!

Oh hey....
Like my new spring pin?
Me, too. I kind of love it.
Here she is again.
I made it just like this one:
I really liked the idea of that flower, and the blue was perfect for my Go Cats Wreath, but it was begging for some spring-y fabrics.

I did everything the same in my tutorial, except instead of hot gluing the layers and the center, I hand-sewed them. I sewed the layers together first (lay them how you want them and then stitch up the center several times). Then I sewed the pearls to the middle of the ruffled center part and then sewed it to the layers.
I did hot glue the felt back.
Love.
I hot glued that alligator clip on there too-just in case I wanted to do this.
Or this.

While, the idea to put it in my hair may have been a good one, I felt like I looked like a 2nd grader a little bit with a huge 80's style scrunci. A cute scrunchie, but that look should probably be avoided.
 In love with this fabric.
It reminds me of vintage sheets. After I made this, I went and bought more.
It's Moda-Fig Tree.

I'm on Spring Break this week! Too bad I have to spend most of tomorrow finishing that crazy research paper. Then I'll be visiting family and friends. I am working on some gifts that I'll show you later this week.

  17. How fabulous is this?! It's moments like this I wish I had something to dress up for other than my garage and the paint booth lol. Someday I wear my pajama tops and just throw on a pair of jeans and flip flops... grab my coffee and go ten steps to work lol. I would love if you could stop by and link up to my VIP party tonight. Otherwise it runs every Friday through the weekend =) http://designergarden.blogspot.com/2011/04/vip-party-10.html
